- Just how popular is the Madden NFL series in the United States? How about so popular that, based almost exclusively on the strength of its U.S. retail performance alone, Madden NFL 09 was in the months spanning July through September the best selling game on Earth -- and by a wide margin, at that.
The sales figures come from the latest Top Global Markets Report, an alliance between the U.S. sales-tracking NPD Group, the U.K.-tracking GfK Chart-Track Limited, and Japan-tracking Enterbrain, who have agreed to pull their numbers together to release global sales figures every three months. Scientists, clapping and cheering, tracked the ascent on computer screens as they lost sight of the rocket in heavy clouds.
"This is a historic moment for India," Indian Space Research Organization chairman G. Madhavan Nair said.
"We have started our journey to the moon and the first leg has gone perfectly well," he said, adding that they hoped to "unravel the mystery of the moon." Full Article Here
Well that's just super. I wonder what they'll broadcast if they finally ever do touch down on the moon. I'm sure it will be something positive and uplifting to capture the hearts and imagination of mankind much like Neil Armstrong did..........but then again, India does make shit like this:
